I Jasmine. Lol. She gave me the coolest belated b-day gift ever. A Sword. Seriously. It's Chinese. It was intended more for decoration than combat, I think, because it's rather thin and the scabbard has excessive varnish. I don't know if it's a real sword--it does look rather cheep compared to other swords I've seen. Nevertheless it's WAY better than that puny carved wooden dagger thing I had before. I'm not in the least disappointed because I hadn't expected it to be so big. It's a shorter sword but it's the perfect size for me(it's about 3 feet long). Anyway her family was moving out of their old apartment, and her mom found the sword lying around with some other random junk, and was going to throw it out. Jasmine salvaged it though. Yay.

It was actually very funny today when she gave it to me. I stood talking to her at baseball and she handed it off. Then I thought I should go over and warm up with everyone else, so I walked over to the crowd. As soon as I got close, a bunch of the 12 or 13 year old guys flocked around me saying, 'Ooh, what's that? A sword? Cool! Can I see it? Sweet!' etc. And they were waving it around too. I'm just glad it's not sharp enough to cause serious damage. XD
